Long Island Wine & Liquor Sales Club honors Sophia Hong
On June 3rd 2024, the Long Island Wine & Liquor Sales Club (LIWLSC) honored Sophia Hong, owner of Leiser's Wine & Liquor, at their 78th Annual Golf Outing to benefit the AHRC Foundation, recognizing her generous support of the Foundation's mission.
Decades of Partnership
The LIWLSC has supported children and adults with developmental disabilities since the late 1940s — more than seven decades of continuous commitment. Over the years, the Club's fundraising has enabled new construction projects, facility renovations, equipment purchases, and pilot programs across AHRC Foundation initiatives.
A Shared Mission
“For over seven decades, the LIWLSC has stood strong,” said AHRC Foundation Director Mary McNamara, reflecting on the Club's remarkable history of giving. LIWLSC President Charles Maneri emphasized the Club's goal of “creating a better future for us all.”
The AHRC Foundation directs its funding toward programs that advance health and education while promoting independence and inclusion for individuals with developmental disabilities throughout Long Island.
