In 1994 the Nassau County AHRC Foundation, a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, was formed to ensure that regardless of budget cuts and changes in the political and economic climate, compassionate, community-based programs for people with developmental disabilities will continue now, and for future generations.

 The Foundation offers a wide range of gift-giving opportunities to ensure the fulfillment of its mission, including cash, appreciated stock, personal residences, life insurance, retirement benefits, trusts, wills and bequests, as well as gifts with a retained income for the life of the donor.
